Tooth study tests which root canal prep is more accurate
NCT ID NCT07612228
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jul 01, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This lab study compares two ways to prepare a root canal before cleaning it: using hand files or a mechanical rotary tool. Researchers will test 60 extracted single-rooted teeth to see which method keeps the working length more accurate. The goal is to improve root canal success, but this is an early lab study, not a treatment for patients.
