New study tests better cleaning for infected root canals

Summary

This study will compare two different methods for disinfecting root canals in teeth with an infection around the root tip (apical periodontitis). The goal is to see which method reduces bacteria more effectively. Fifty adults with infected molar teeth will be randomly assigned to one of the two cleaning protocols. The study uses two lab techniques to measure bacterial levels before and after treatment.
