New dual-targeting CAR t therapy takes on hard-to-treat lymphoma in phase 3 trial

Summary
This phase 3 trial tests a new CAR T-cell therapy called rondecabtagene autoleucel (ronde-cel) that targets two proteins (CD19 and CD20) on lymphoma cells. It is compared to standard CD19-targeting CAR T-cell therapy in 400 patients with relapsed or refractory large B-cell lymphoma. The main goal is to see if ronde-cel improves event-free survival. This is a second-line treatment for people who have already tried one prior therapy.
