New hope for advanced colon cancer: targeted drug combo tested in 150 patients

Summary
This study tests whether a specific combination of two drugs (irinotecan and cetuximab) works better than the current standard treatment for people with advanced colorectal cancer that has not responded to earlier therapies. About 150 adults whose cancer has certain genetic markers will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatments. The goal is to see which approach shrinks more tumors and improves survival, while monitoring side effects and quality of life.
