Bedside swab may speed up ectopic pregnancy detection
NCT ID NCT07519954
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether a simple vaginal swab test, called ROM-Plus, can quickly tell if a pregnancy of unknown location (PUL) with vaginal bleeding is high or low risk for ectopic pregnancy. About 122 English-speaking, stable patients will provide a swab during their first visit. The goal is to see if the test can give a clear risk result after just one checkup, helping doctors decide next steps faster.
