Robot vs surgeon: which gives better results after breast cancer surgery?
NCT ID NCT07230535
Summary
This study aims to find out if using a robot to perform nipple-sparing mastectomy leads to better patient satisfaction, body image, and cosmetic results compared to traditional open surgery. It will involve 250 women with breast cancer or high genetic risk who are having immediate breast reconstruction. Patients will be randomly assigned to receive either robotic-assisted or open surgery, and their recovery and satisfaction will be compared over 12 months.
