Robot surgeons vs traditional methods: which helps IBD patients recover faster?

NCT ID NCT07230262

Summary

This study compares two types of minimally invasive surgery for people with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) who need colon surgery. Researchers will randomly assign 110 patients to either robotic-assisted surgery or standard laparoscopic surgery to see which approach leads to fewer complications, less pain, and better quality of life. The study will track recovery, pain levels, and quality of life measures for 90 days after surgery.
