Scarless robot surgery fights thyroid cancer

NCT ID NCT07229859

Summary

This study compared a robotic surgery technique to traditional open surgery for removing thyroid cancer that had spread to neck lymph nodes. It involved 332 patients and aimed to see if the robotic method was just as good at removing the cancer, had similar safety, and left patients happier with how their scars looked. Researchers tracked recovery, pain, and patient satisfaction with the cosmetic results.
