Robots take on tricky stomach tumors: new safety trial launches

Summary

This study looks at how safe robotic surgery is for removing gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) located in hard-to-reach areas of the stomach. About 182 adults with small to medium tumors (2-5 cm) will have the robotic procedure. Researchers will track how many patients stay cancer-free for 3 years after surgery.
