Robotic float system helps spinal injury patients move more naturally
NCT ID NCT03004144
Summary
This study measured how a robotic body-weight support system called the FLOAT affects movement during daily activities like walking, standing, and climbing stairs. Researchers compared movements with and without the robotic assistance in 60 people with incomplete spinal cord injuries and 140 able-bodied volunteers. The goal was to understand how to best support natural movement patterns to potentially improve future therapy approaches.
