New 5-Arm robot enters operating room for cancer surgery trial
NCT ID NCT07310888
Summary
This study is testing a new robotic surgery system designed to help surgeons operate on stomach cancer. Ten patients in Hong Kong and Japan will have their cancer removed using this experimental robot with an extra 'fifth arm' for assistance. The main goal is to see if the procedure is safe and practical to perform, not to test if it cures cancer better than current methods.
