Robot surgeons tested in delicate tissue reconnection procedures

NCT ID NCT06725030

Summary

This study is evaluating a robotic surgical system called Symani for performing extremely delicate microsurgery procedures. The research will follow 455 patients undergoing reconstructive surgery (like breast reconstruction after cancer) or lymphedema surgery to see if the robotic system is safe and effective. The main goals are to check if blood vessels stay open after robotic connection and to monitor for any device-related problems during and after surgery.
