Robot helps doctors spot lung cancer earlier

NCT ID NCT07057648

Summary

This study tests a new robotic system to help doctors take tissue samples from small spots in the lungs called nodules. The robot uses special sensors to guide a thin tube more accurately than current methods, which could lead to better diagnosis of lung cancer. Researchers will enroll 100 adults in Korea who need lung nodule biopsies and follow them for 6 months to see if the robotic approach is more accurate and safe.
