Robot-Assisted precision: new system aims for pinpoint accuracy in lung cancer detection
NCT ID NCT05867953
Summary
This study tested a robotic system designed to help doctors more accurately place biopsy tools inside small lung nodules. It involved 200 adults in Europe who needed a biopsy because they were at moderate to high risk for lung cancer. The main goal was to see how often the robotic system could successfully guide the biopsy needle directly into the nodule and how accurate the resulting tissue samples were for diagnosis.
