Robotic knee surgery trial aims to make artificial joints feel more natural

NCT ID NCT07489963

Summary

This study aims to find the best technique for robotic-assisted total knee replacement. It will compare keeping a key stabilizing ligament (the PCL) versus removing it during surgery. Researchers want to see if keeping the ligament helps patients feel less aware of their artificial joint and return to activity sooner. The study will involve 300 patients receiving this type of surgery.
