Robot aims to make kidney stone surgery safer and faster

NCT ID NCT07211555

Summary

This study is testing a new robotic system called LARC that helps surgeons more accurately reach the kidney during surgery to remove large stones. The robot uses live X-ray images to guide the surgeon's tools, potentially making the procedure quicker and reducing the need for separate preparatory steps. The research will involve about 45 adult patients at AdventHealth who are scheduled for this type of kidney stone surgery.
