Robot surgeons tested for gentler breast cancer operations

NCT ID NCT05245812

Summary

This study is testing a new, less invasive robotic surgery technique for removing breast tissue in people with breast cancer or a high risk of developing it. The goal is to see if this single-port robotic surgery is as safe and effective as traditional open surgery, while potentially improving cosmetic results and preserving nipple sensation. Researchers will follow 90 patients for five years to track complications, cancer outcomes, and patient satisfaction.
