Robot aims for pinpoint accuracy in bone surgeries

NCT ID NCT06376682

Summary

This study tested a new robotic system called EPIONE, which helps doctors guide needles more precisely during certain bone procedures. The goal was to see if using the robot was feasible, safe, and accurate for tasks like treating bone tumors or metastases. Researchers enrolled 34 patients to have their CT-guided procedures performed with the robotic assistant and measured how well it worked.
