Robots vs surgeons: which gets you home faster after colon cancer?
NCT ID NCT04190589
Summary
This study compares two surgical approaches for colon cancer: traditional open surgery and newer robot-assisted surgery. Researchers want to see if the robotic method removes cancer tissue just as effectively while helping patients recover faster with fewer complications. The study will include 40 patients receiving robot-assisted surgery and compare their outcomes to 44 previous patients who had open surgery.
