Robots enter the brain scan room: study tests machine vs. human hands for safer procedures

NCT ID NCT07182188

Summary

This study is testing a robotic system designed to help doctors perform cerebral angiography, a procedure to get detailed images of blood vessels in the brain. It will compare the robot-assisted method to the traditional manual method in 450 patients to see which is safer and more effective. Researchers will measure success rates, procedure time, and how much radiation the doctor and patient are exposed to during each approach.
