Robots step in to help stroke patients relearn walking

NCT ID NCT06497309

Summary

This study tested if adding high-tech robot therapy helps people relearn to walk after a stroke. 80 stroke survivors received standard rehab plus either treadmill-based or non-treadmill robot-assisted therapy. Researchers measured changes in walking ability, balance, and independence to see which approach worked better.
