Robots chat with kids in hospital to ease stress and teach safety

NCT ID NCT07389902

Summary

This study is testing whether robots can help children feel better and learn important safety information during hospital stays. Researchers will compare two different ways a robot can talk to kids: using pre-set rules versus using a more flexible, AI-powered conversation system. About 60 children, aged 2 to 9, will interact with a friendly robot named LIKU to see which approach helps them feel more engaged and comfortable.
