Robots step in to help brain injury patients walk again
NCT ID NCT06343415
Summary
This small study tested whether two types of intensive robot-assisted therapy are practical and safe for people in the early stages of recovery from a severe brain injury. Ten patients who were minimally conscious or in a similar state tried five days of robot-assisted walking training and five days of robot-assisted stepping training, with the order randomly assigned. The main goal was to see if the study plan itself was workable, including whether enough eligible patients could join and complete all the therapy sessions.
