Robotic seal cuddles away Kids' IV pain in new study

Summary

This study tests whether a robotic baby seal named PARO can help reduce pain and anxiety in children aged 1 to 7 years when they get an IV. About 120 kids will either receive standard care or standard care plus the robot. Researchers will measure pain using a special scale and also look at distress, heart rate, and parent anxiety.
