Summary

This study tested whether a robotic baby seal named PARO could help calm agitation and anxiety in elderly nursing home residents with moderate to severe dementia. Researchers wanted to see if using the robot was a good value for the cost compared to usual care. The trial involved 33 participants and was conducted in France, but it was terminated early.
