New back position could make kidney tumor surgery faster and less painful

NCT ID NCT07234409

Summary

This study aims to find out if lying on your back is better than lying on your side during robotic surgery to remove small kidney tumors. Researchers will compare the newer 'on your back' position to the traditional 'on your side' position in 124 patients to see which leads to fewer complications, less pain, and a faster recovery. The goal is to determine the safest and most effective surgical approach for preserving healthy kidney tissue.
