Robot walker gives seniors their stride back after falls

NCT ID NCT02485171

Summary

This study tested whether a robotic walking aid called SAFEWALKER could help older adults recover from 'post-fall syndrome'—a condition involving fear of falling and difficulty walking. Researchers wanted to see if using the robot alongside standard physical therapy was practical and acceptable for patients over 70. The main goal was to check if the device helped patients walk more during their rehab sessions.
