Swallow this robot pill instead of a tube: new test for anemia

NCT ID NCT07197424

Summary

This study is testing a new, less invasive way to find the source of iron deficiency anemia. Patients swallow a small, magnetically-guided robotic capsule that takes pictures of the stomach and small intestine. Researchers want to see if this pill camera is as good as the standard, more uncomfortable tube test (endoscopy) at finding the cause of the anemia.
