First seen Apr 01, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests whether a robot-assisted escape room game can teach 200 fifth- and sixth-graders about the harms of tobacco and e-cigarettes better than standard classroom lessons. Students in the experimental group play an immersive game guided by a robot, solving puzzles and learning about smoking risks. Researchers will measure changes in knowledge, beliefs, and refusal skills right after the game and again one month later.
