New drug could save newborn brains after oxygen loss

Summary
This study tests a new medicine called RLS-0071 in 70 newborns who have moderate to severe brain injury from lack of oxygen at birth (HIE). All babies will receive standard cooling therapy, and some will also get the study drug or a placebo. The goal is to see if the drug is safe and can reduce brain damage, helping more babies survive without long-term disabilities.
