Blood thinner tested to unclog leg arteries

NCT ID NCT05009862

Summary

This study is testing if adding a low dose of the blood thinner rivaroxaban to standard aspirin therapy helps improve blood vessel health and reduce harmful blood clotting in people with peripheral artery disease (PAD). Researchers are enrolling 75 adults with PAD to see if the drug helps blood vessels relax better and makes platelets less 'sticky.' The goal is to understand how this medication might help manage the disease beyond just preventing clots.
