New hope for young hearts: testing a safer blood thinner dose

NCT ID NCT06978439

Summary

This small pilot study is testing a specific, lower dose of the blood thinner rivaroxaban in Chinese children who have developed a giant bulge (aneurysm) in their heart arteries after Kawasaki disease. The goal is to see if this dose is safe and effective at preventing dangerous blood clots in these fragile arteries. Researchers will follow 10 children for over 6 months to check for clots, bleeding, and how the drug works in their bodies.
