Summary

This study tested whether a new type of nerve block (RISS) can reduce pain and the need for strong painkillers after chest surgery. 90 adults having chest surgery were randomly assigned to get the nerve block plus standard anesthesia or standard anesthesia alone. The researchers measured pain scores, how often patients used a pain pump, and any side effects.
