Study aims to predict breathing failure in tiniest newborns
NCT ID NCT07186790
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study will look at 160 very premature babies (born before 32 weeks and weighing under 1,500 grams) to find out why some of them fail non-invasive breathing support like CPAP and need a breathing tube instead. Researchers will review medical records from a children's hospital in Egypt over one year. The goal is to identify risk factors so doctors can better predict and prevent breathing failure in these fragile infants.
