Tooth extraction study tests which bone graft heals better
NCT ID NCT04338516
First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looked at how well two different bone graft materials help the jawbone heal after a tooth is pulled. Fifty-four adults each had one non-molar tooth removed and the socket filled with either Ossix Bone or Bio-Oss Collagen. After 16 weeks, a small bone sample was taken to measure new bone growth, leftover graft material, and other tissue. The goal was to see if one material leads to better healing for future dental implants.
