Summary
This study tests an experimental drug called rezpegaldesleukin in 94 adults with severe to very severe alopecia areata, a condition causing significant hair loss. Participants receive either the drug or a placebo for 36 weeks, with an optional extension. The main goal is to measure hair regrowth using the SALT score, which tracks scalp hair loss. The drug aims to control the disease, not cure it, and ongoing management may be needed.
