Summary

This study tests if giving donor kidneys a 6-hour warm bath with nutrients (normothermic machine perfusion) before transplant helps them work better. 240 people receiving a kidney from a donor aged 50+ will be randomly assigned to standard cold storage or the extra warm treatment. The main goal is to see if kidney function one year after transplant is improved.
