Could a gut procedure help control diabetes?

Summary
This study tests a procedure called duodenal mucosal resurfacing (DMR) to see if it can improve blood sugar control in people with type 2 diabetes. About 320 adults whose diabetes is not well managed with current medications will either receive the DMR procedure or a sham (fake) procedure. The main goal is to measure changes in blood sugar levels over 24 weeks.
