Cancer drug side effect reversed? new study tests diabetes fix

NCT ID NCT07257068

Summary

This small pilot study aims to see if a drug called infliximab is safe and can help patients stop needing insulin injections. The patients developed diabetes as a side effect of powerful cancer immunotherapy drugs called checkpoint inhibitors. Researchers want to know if infliximab can reverse this specific type of drug-induced diabetes and for how long patients might stay off insulin.
