Recycled heart catheters: a green and Cost-Saving medical breakthrough?
NCT ID NCT07389434
Summary
This study is testing whether re-sterilized catheters used in a heart procedure for atrial fibrillation are as safe and work as well as brand-new ones. About 200 adult patients scheduled for the procedure will be randomly assigned to have it done with either a new or a re-sterilized catheter. The goal is to see if reusing these devices can lower costs and reduce medical waste without compromising patient care.
