Memory test shows promise for schizophrenia learning
NCT ID NCT02150174
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a learning technique called retrieval practice (testing yourself on material) works for people with schizophrenia. 40 participants, including patients and healthy volunteers, studied word pairs and were tested two days later. The goal was to see if testing improves memory more than simply re-studying, which could help design better cognitive training programs.
