Scientists zoom in on mysterious granules in the human eye

NCT ID NCT03326908

Summary

This study aimed to better understand a specific layer at the back of the eye, called the interdigitation area. Researchers used a high-tech eye scanner (SD-OCT) to take detailed pictures of this area in 20 healthy volunteers. They wanted to see if tiny granules they spotted in this layer change over time or under different lighting, which could help future research into eye diseases.
