New diabetes drug retatrutide tested for low blood sugar recovery

Summary
This study looks at how the weekly drug retatrutide affects recovery from low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) in people with type 2 diabetes. About 78 adults on metformin will receive either retatrutide or a placebo for 16 weeks. Researchers will measure how quickly blood sugar returns to normal after a controlled low blood sugar event.
