Grape molecule tested as potential natural pain reliever for Worn-Out knees
NCT ID NCT02905799
Summary
This study tested whether a daily oral supplement containing resveratrol, a compound found in grapes, could reduce pain in people with knee osteoarthritis. In this large, completed Phase 3 trial, 142 adults with painful knee arthritis took either the resveratrol supplement or a placebo pill for three months. The main goal was to see if the supplement group reported less knee pain and better daily function compared to the placebo group.
