Manikin study tests best way to start CPR in kids

NCT ID NCT05474170

First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study compared two ways to start CPR in children: giving chest compressions first or giving rescue breaths first. Researchers used a manikin to measure how much air reached the lungs in the first minute. 28 emergency medical workers took part. The goal was to help fill a knowledge gap since real-world studies in children are very hard to do.
