Brain and nerve zaps aim to bring back feeling to paralyzed hands

NCT ID NCT07225582

Summary

This study is testing whether small electrical pulses delivered to the brain or arm nerves can restore useful hand sensation in people with paralysis from spinal cord injury. Three participants who already have special electrodes implanted in their brain and arm will receive different patterns of stimulation. Researchers will measure how well participants can feel and use these artificial sensations to perform tasks in virtual reality.
