First seen Mar 17, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests whether small electrical pulses to leg nerves can restore sensation in a missing limb for 15 people with diabetes-related amputations or nerve damage. Participants will have electrodes implanted to send signals to the brain, mimicking natural foot feelings. The goal is to improve balance and walking, and possibly help control a robotic leg.
