First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a 4-hour resilience workshop can prevent PTSD and depression in 800 first responders in New York and Texas. Participants will be randomly assigned to the workshop or a control group and followed for one year. The goal is to see if the training helps them cope better with traumatic events on the job.

What this could lead to
If successful, this could provide a proven, scalable program to protect first responders from PTSD and depression after trauma.
What could go wrong
