New tool aims to preserve residual hearing in cochlear implant patients

Summary
This study looks at whether a special monitoring system used during cochlear implant surgery can help save a person's remaining natural hearing. About 40 adults with severe hearing loss in both ears will take part. Researchers will measure hearing changes over two years to see if the system makes a difference.
