New doppler device could help paramedics see blood flow during CPR
NCT ID NCT06599073
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested a new hands-free device called RescueDoppler that uses ultrasound to monitor blood flow in the carotid artery during cardiac arrest. Researchers attached the device to 285 patients experiencing sudden cardiac arrest, both in and out of the hospital. The goal was to see if the device could reliably detect whether blood flow was present or absent during CPR, which could help guide resuscitation efforts.
